About Dr. Duarte
Dr. Duarte is a tried and true Marylander. Born and raised in Laurel, MD, she attended the University of Maryland at College Park and in 1997, graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School. She then completed a General Practice Residency at Prince George's Hospital Center where she honed her skills in dental trauma and emergency care.
Two years after residency Dr. Duarte achieved her dream of opening her own dental practice. Her vision was to create a practice with strong roots in the community and the ability to watch her patients and practice grow. She wanted to emphasize family, communication, and an eye towards the latest advances in dentistry. That vision has been realized.
As with any profession, Dr. Duarte understands the need to continually keep up with the latest advances in technologies. She is a member of the Maryland State Dental Association and the Chesapeake Implant Study Club, and continues to take advanced dentistry courses. Recently, she has also become a student of the Dawson Academy, which places an emphasis on reducing Temporomandibular discomfort and performing dentistry that is comprehensive in nature.
Dr. Duarte also believes in helping those who are in need. She is a volunteer at the Stanton Dental Clinic, which provides care to people who cannot afford dentistry. In addition, Dr. Duarte worked for many years at the Anne Arundel Department of Health Children's Dental clinic.
The following are comments from clinic patients;
"The last time I went, care was exceptional. Dr. Christina Duarte was so kind and gentle that I didn't even feel the injection."
"Thank you so much for your excellent care. Your compassion and skill have dramactically changed this young woman's life."
